ACTE - Adobe Flash: Animation Techniques

ASSOCIATION FOR CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION (LAS VEGAS)
Session delivered December 4, 2010

"If a picture is worth a thousand words, then an animation must be at least 5,000 words! Adobe Flash is the premier tool for creating two-dimensional animations for both commercial and instructional Web pages, online games, and educaitonal course-management systems. This workshop will explore several techniques for creating animation within an Adobe Flash CS5 project, including frame-by-frame animation, motion tweening, and shape tweening."

Video clip used in this presentation to compare traditional animation methods came from Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Platinum Edition) - Disc 2 > Queen's Castle > Camera and Tests > Tricks of the Trade. (View on YouTube). The clip shows cel frame-by-frame animation techniques as well as the "Multiplane Camera" which relates to the Layers of the timeline.
